Community invited to Mighty Oaks Warrior Program graduation on Friday
Ceremony and barbecue potluck to be held February 10 at SkyRose Ranch in San Miguel
– A new session of the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs Men’s Legacy Program is taking place this week at SkyRose Ranch in San Miguel. On Friday, Feb. 10, there will be a public graduation ceremony and barbecue potluck held at 7 p.m. to culminate the week and celebrate the completion of the program by more than 20 veterans and military personnel.
The event will be held in the second white barn located on the SkyRose Ranch property; see directions below. All community members, and the families and friends of the veterans and military personnel are cordially invited to join together in supporting and celebrating these Warriors on Friday. Staff and volunteers with Mighty Oaks will be providing the tri-tip and refreshments, and they invite those that come out for the celebration to bring a favorite side dish or meal to share with the group.
The Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs and Legacy Program team would like to share the following message: “We thank you for your continued support and dedication to those Warriors you come to celebrate and show gracious support. Please pass this information along to any and all that you may feel would enjoy attending the ceremony for these Warriors.”
Information on the MOWP website states that the Men’s Legacy Program taking place at SkyRose Ranch this week is an, “intensive peer-to peer-program serves as the catalyst to help Warriors discover the answers to the big questions in life. Challenges related to the struggles of daily military life, combat deployments and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS) surface during these six days, and the Legacy Program for Men teaches how to fight through these challenges, which might have been limiting their personal success.” Furthermore, the site information states, “Legacy’s confidential, open environment and the camaraderie participants experience in recreation trigger growth and recovery within the men. By discovering the truth about discipline, brotherhood, legacy, courage, honor, faith and family, men develop authentic character and learn to live a life of leadership. We equip our Warriors to fight through life’s challenges and discover the very purpose for their lives moving forward.”
The mission statement of MOWP is, “to operate on a standing commitment to reach the brokenhearted, with a specific calling to assist our nation’s military Warriors and families find a new life purpose through a hope in Christ, after enduring hardship through their service to America.” For questions on MOWP, send an email to email@example.com. Those with urgent questions or in need of immediate response may call Jamie Warner at (805) 674-5013; those wishing to volunteer for this event or any of the upcoming scheduled MOWP events are also encouraged to call.
