–A GoFundMe is raising money to buy an adaptive bike for a 14-year-old girl named Lily Bushie who lives on a nature preserve near Lake Nacimiento.

According to the GoFundMe campaign, Lily is a Mito Warrior who has a very rare form of the Mitochondrial disease known as SUCLA2. Per her Stanford doctor, there are around 70 known cases worldwide. The disease effects her energy levels, organs, immune system, and hearing. Lily’s main mode of mobility is her wheelchair. She can walk short distances with assistance but spends most of her time in her wheelchair.

Lily’s mom has launched this GoFundMe to buy an adaptive bike for Lily so she can more easily enjoy the outdoors. The bike will cost a little over $3500 to make and so far $1831 has been raised through this GoFundMe.
