Container gardening topic of upcoming library program
Presentation will cover plant selection, container choices, and gardening considerations
– The Paso Robles City Library will host a presentation on container gardening on June 24 as part of its summer theme, “Plant a Seed, Read!”
Garden educator and seed saver Sharon Lovelady will lead the program from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Library Study Center.
According to the library, Lovelady will discuss which plants grow well in containers, reasons gardeners may choose containers instead of planting in the ground, and considerations when selecting containers.
The presentation will also explore how container gardening can be used in small patio spaces, by renters who may need to move their gardens, and as a way to test plants before placing them in a permanent location.
The program is open to adults ages 16 and older. Space is limited.
