Contour Airlines suspends service at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport
—In response to the unprecedented disruption to air travel brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Contour Airlines has made the difficult decision to suspend service at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP). The airline’s last day of operations at SBP will be March 30.
The airline had been providing nonstop flights to Las Vegas four times per week since October 2019. Service to the leisure destination proved popular, but sudden, severe travel reductions across the nation ultimately led Contour Airlines to pull out of the market.
“We firmly believe in the San Luis Obispo market and fully intend to resume service when public health and economic conditions allow us to do so,” shared Contour Airlines CEO Matthew Chaifetz.

San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP) serves areas as far north as Southern Monterey County and as far south as Northern Santa Barbara County.
