Council approves loan application for water treatment plant

water conservation–At the most recent Paso Robles City Council meeting, the council voted unanimously to authorize application for a state revolving fund 1-percent loan and grant to construct an $18 Million tertiary (recycled water) treatment headworks.

The tertiary treatment plant will be a new part of the city’s wastewater treatment plant, which is due to be operational in October. The tertiary treatment would give the plant the capability to produce water that would be useable in places such as golf courses and potentially vineyards, lessening the impact on the water basin.
