The property was already in use by the museum, and the purchase agreement will allow the museum to continue to operate within the park. The city obtained an appraisal of the buildings prepared by Christopher Smith & Associates of $33,500.

The property has five structures totaling approximately 36,820 sq.ft., including Jeanesville Pump, 6,000 sq.ft.; Pioneer Day Committee Harvester Barn Complex, 8,328 sq.ft.; Schoolhouse, 836 sq.ft.; and Pioneer Museum and Warehouse, 21,656 sq.ft.

The council approved the sale, and $33,500 will be deposited in the city’s general fund.
