County fire station closing temporarily for renovations

Closure started on Feb. 17, and the renovations are expected to take approximately 45 days

    – The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department and the San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department will temporarily close Fire Station 52 in Paso Robles for renovations to its interior living spaces. The updates are intended to improve functionality and efficiency for firefighters.

The closure started on Feb. 17, and the renovations are expected to take approximately 45 days. During this period, Engine 52 and Hazardous Materials Unit 1 will be relocated a few miles west to Los Robles Fire Station 98 at 4735 Airport Road.

There will be no station brownouts, but emergency response times may be slightly delayed in some areas due to the temporary relocation, according to CAL Fire. The fire department will continue to send the closest available resources and request mutual aid from neighboring agencies as needed.
