COVID-19 Update: Total cases in county surpass 20,000
–San Luis Obispo County added 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday and zero deaths. The 14-day average has been hovering around 30 this week, the lowest it has been since early November.
The total number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 since March is now 20,041 in SLO County. The county reports 19,453 people have recovered from the virus.
The county health department attributes a total of 251 deaths to COVID-19.
Currently, there are 334 active cases in the county. In January, active cases peaked at over 3,000.
