Crash sends vehicle down embankment off Highway 46 

– A vehicle crashed off Highway 46 west of Old Creek Road on Monday afternoon, falling several hundred feet down an embankment and prompting a temporary road closure, according to reports.

The crash was reported about 3:57 p.m., and one injured person, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted from the scene.

As of about 5:15 p.m., traffic was moving with one-way traffic control in place, reports day.

The CHP posted about the incident on its X page and posted a video:
