Creston Garden Club holds annual fundraiser and plant giveaway
Funds raised during the event will go toward maintenance, sidewalk repairs, large tree pruning, soil improvements, and other major projects in the garden
– The Creston Garden Club will host its annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Creston Community Center, located at 511 Swayze Street. The event is free and open to the public, with special activities planned for children.
The fundraiser supports the Creston Community Garden, which is maintained by the all-volunteer, nonprofit Creston Garden Club. Funds raised during the event will go toward maintenance, sidewalk repairs, large tree pruning, soil improvements, and other major projects in the garden.
Visitors will be able to stroll through the garden to enjoy the spring blooms. The event offers a “name your price” donation model for a wide selection of plants and trees, including fruit trees, vegetable starts, and ornamental flowering plants and shrubs.
Additional items for sale will include wine barrels, baked goods, and local crafts. Homemade pies, which are in high demand, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event will be held at the community center with ample parking available.
