Crews continue Highway 58 resurfacing project near Santa Margarita
Weekday work runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– A project to resurface Highway 58 near Santa Margarita from I Street to State Route 229 will continue the week of June 1.
Travelers will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Delays are not expected to exceed 10 minutes. Crews will conduct the roadwork to enhance the pavement in several locations within the project area.
Intermittent overnight work and traffic control are possible later in the year on weeknights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Details on this work will be announced when they are confirmed.
Electronic message boards have been activated to inform the public about this work. The contractor for this $7.9 million project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria. This project is expected to be complete by the end of this year, weather permitting.
Crews remind drivers to slow down and drive carefully in work zones.
