Cuesta Aquatics Center hosting ribbon-cutting ceremony, ‘Back to Pool’ day

Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a complimentary family-friendly afternoon of fun will take place from 3:30 – 7 p.m. “Back to Pool Day” includes free swim, use of the diving boards, and aqua fitness.

–The community is invited to celebrate the reopening of the Cuesta College Aquatics Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and free event on Friday, June 14 at 3 p.m.

The Aquatics Center on the San Luis Obispo campus is a Measure L-funded project which includes upgrades to a 50-meter competition-sized pool along with an expanded 25-yard practice pool. Other improvements incorporated accessibility upgrades as well as new diving boards and starting blocks.

Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a complimentary family-friendly afternoon of fun will take place from 3:30 – 7 p.m. “Back to Pool Day” includes free swim, use of the diving boards, and aqua fitness. Parking is complimentary in lot 5.
