– The Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery at Cuesta College has announced the return of the Annual Student Art Exhibition on April 21. The exhibition celebrates and showcases the talent and creativity of Cuesta College Fine Arts students and features original works of art, including ceramics, drawing, graphic design, digital art, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
Submitted student artwork is juried by Emma Saperstein, Chief Curator and Director of Education at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.
“As we find our way back to normal, our main focus is to bring artwork, students, and visitors back to the gallery,” said Tim Stark, Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery coordinator. “The student art exhibition is an exciting event and major step forward, and we are so pleased to celebrate and showcase the best and brightest student artists we have here at Cuesta College.”
The exhibition opens on Thursday, Apr. 21, with a reception from 4 – 7 p.m. and an awards presentation at 5:15 p.m. Awards are made possible in part by the Helen Novy Art Fund. The exhibition runs through May 19.
