Cuesta College showcases student work in annual exhibition
Exhibition includes painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media
– The Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery at Cuesta College will open the 2025 Student Annual Art Exhibition on April 17. The exhibition will remain on view through May 23 and features 57 works by current Cuesta College students.
The exhibition includes artwork across various disciplines and media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital media, and printmaking.
An opening reception will take place on April 17 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with remarks and an awards presentation scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. During the reception, the gallery will present awards recognizing artistic excellence and achievement. These awards are supported in part by the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust and the Helen Novy Awards for Excellence in the Classroom.
“The Student Annual is always a highlight of our year at Cuesta College,” said Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery Coordinator Tim Stark. “It’s inspiring to see the incredible range of ideas, techniques, and creative voices coming from our students. This exhibition is a testament to their hard work, imagination, and commitment to developing their craft. We’re proud to share their vision with the community.”
The Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery is located in Room 7170 on the San Luis Obispo campus of Cuesta College. Free parking will be available in Lot 2 during gallery events. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment.
