Accomplished American artist Dale Evers will be hosting an open house this weekend at his studio located at 1000 Park St. in Paso Robles in honor of the Paso Arts Fest weekend celebration.

The studio will be open on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., with a special artist reception from 4-8 p.m. The timing of the open house will coincide with the main Paso Arts Fest event held in downtown city park.

Evers only hosts one or two open houses per year, so it is truly a special opportunity to view some of his newest creations, along with pieces that he has done throughout his career. “The show will be a pleasant mix of three decades of work,” said Evers.

The collection on display will start with the artist’s marine inspired works that he created in the 1980’s, and then move into insects, guitars and then finally into the more esoteric work that the artist has been creating recently out of his studio in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Evers is the resident artist at Sculpterra winery. He has recently been traveling down to his second studio in Guadalajara where he has been working with the group Art21 creating large-scale works for the winery. One of his newest pieces, entitled, “Amorphius 10.0,” will be re-created as a 24’ statue for the winery. The 10’ version of the statue will be on display at the studio.

The open house and reception will be a unique opportunity to view the evolution of this talented local artist, as well as meet the artist and view the pieces up close and personal. It’s a rare and unique event that shouldn’t be missed. “Be there or be square,” Evers said.
