Update: Police release identity of dead man found in backyard

Updated March 27, 2019:

Police today identified Cody Hornback, 27, as the man found dead Monday in the backyard area of a mobile home park in Paso Robles. The San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office is investigating the cause of death. A report is expected in four to six weeks, pending lab results, police said.

Original report, March 26, 2019:

The Paso Robles Police department responded Monday to a report of a dead body discovered in a backyard of a mobile home park on Spring Street in Paso Robles.

“I can confirm we responded to 2841 Spring Street regarding what appeared to be an overdose-related death,” said Paso Robles Police Chief Ty Lewis. The call was dispatched on Monday, March 25, 2019, at 1:57 p.m.

“Currently, we do not suspect foul play,” the police chief said.

The body of an adult white male was located outside in a backyard area. Police have not released the man’s name, because they could not confirm that next of kin has been notified.

The discovery was made at Trees Mobile Home Park, 2841 Spring Street, Paso Robles.

The San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death, but no details have been released.
