Our earthly angel Mrs. Gladys Fay Craspay is in Heaven now with two other angels – her husband John Craspay and their son, John Jr. I have never in my life met a more durable, hard working, fun loving, community minded, adventurous, forgiving, understanding, and loving pioneer ranching family than the Craspays. Daughter Darlene and hubby fit those adjectives as well – Ma and Pa's caregiver(s). Gladys was Queen at Pioneer Days in Paso Robles, CA a few years ago and it was my pleasure to honor her, as a Sister member, at the Native Daughters of the Golden West annual luncheon in Paso Robles. Gladys was my Mother Elizabeth Joyce Lamb's friend all the way through Paso Robles High School and they graduated together in 1942. They were also elected high school Princesses together for May Day. Although my own Mother was under the weather for many years, we could always count on the love and the accompanying blessings from all the Craspays. I will never forget any of the beautiful Craspay family, including Darlene. Gladys passed away 2-1/2 months after my dear Mother, and they were both age 91. Now they are all in Heaven together again chatting about "fun times at Paso High". RIP Gladys, and God bless you, Darlene.

Thank you so much for this beautiful tribute to both my Aunt Gladys and to Darlene. Truer words could not have been spoken. Both were and are beautiful ladies.

It was a honor to know your Aunt and Uncle, dear Linda Padgett, and Darlene continues with sweet and kind giving. The Craspays have been a true blessing to my family. I will never forget any of them.
