    Deputies respond to threat at Nipomo High School 

    Law enforcement deemed the threat not credible

    – Deputies from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported threat against Nipomo High School on Thursday at approximately 9:30 a.m. The threat was general in nature and not directed at any specific person at the school.

    Deputies arrived and searched the campus, along with New Tech High School nearby. As a precaution, Nipomo High School initiated a lockdown, and students were instructed to shelter in place while the search was conducted.

    Sheriff’s detectives and K9 units from the sheriff’s office, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search. After a thorough investigation, law enforcement deemed the threat not credible.

    The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further details are available at this time.
