Detour starts Tuesday on El Camino Real in Atascadero

Detour is expected to last one day while Atascadero Mutual Water Company repairs a damaged underground water service line– A temporary detour on southbound El Camino Real at Traffic Way will begin Tuesday, Feb. 11. The detour will not start before 8:30 a.m. to minimize disruptions for school drop-off and commuters.
Drivers will be rerouted onto Traffic Way, then onto Palma Avenue, and onto West Mall, where they can re-enter southbound El Camino Real. Northbound El Camino Real will remain open, and Entrada Avenue will not be affected. The detour is expected to last one day while Atascadero Mutual Water Company repairs a damaged underground water service line.
Message and directional signs will be posted to guide motorists along the detour route. Access to businesses along the closed section of El Camino Real will remain open, and free parking is available throughout downtown.
