–Drew Mayerson is September’s featured artist in the Paso Robles Library.
Drew Mayerson was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and his painting was heavily influenced by the sights and sounds of the city. As a geologist, he saw the city landscape with a painter’s eyes; as a scientist, he looked at the landscape and the geologic events that created it. Recently, he and his wife moved out of the city and to a true rural lifestyle on the Central Coast. “My work has invariably returned to the landscapes of my chosen countryside—the vineyards, the coast, and the natural habitat of San Luis Obispo County . . . and I couldn’t be more excited.”
Mayerson’s work will be on display the entire month of September in the Paso Robles City Library.
The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
