Dubost Winery to host Adelaida history night and dinner event

– The Dubost family and winery will host an Adelaida History Night & Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the winery. The event will feature wine, appetizers, and a casual barbecue dinner with dessert by Kate and Curt Dubost, and a presentation by Dan Krieger, professor emeritus, Cal Poly SLO.

Krieger will appear in person for a lecture from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. He has been educating people about the history of Adelaida since 2013. This year’s topic is, “The Dark Watchers, Bandidos, and Other Mysteries of the Adelaide Region.” Attendees are encouraged to bring their local history questions for a Q and A period at the end of the lecture.
The dinner menu includes Alexandrine’s clam chowder, smoked barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, Kate’s gramma’s slaw, Mexican-style corn casserole, and bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Dubost wines, including red, white, and non-alcoholic options, will be available.
Fifteen percent of proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Adelaida Historical Foundation.
