Dustin Lynch gets crowd on their feet at Vina Robles
-By Andrew MacDonald
–The recent Dustin Lynch concert held at Vina Robles culminated to be a perfect summer night. The breeze was warm, the beers were cold and Lynch continuously praised the crowd and cheers-ed his red solo cup containing some of his hometown Tennessee whiskey.
It was a perfect evening for a good old country hoe down. There were people enjoying the energy of the concert up in the grassy knoll all the way down to the standing-room-only pit in front of the stage. The crowd rarely found themselves sitting. The energy Lynch provided had people swing dancing all over the beautiful venue at Vina Robles.
Half way through his set Dustin decided to dedicate a song to Paso Robles Wine Country. He said after drive the Paso backrounds during the day before the show he could see why this is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. At that moment he sang the 1994 hit by David Lee Murphy titled “Dust On The Bottle”.
It was a gentle reminder that felt much needed at this time of year while our youth in the area are graduating high school. And it was a simple reminder that there might be a little dust on our country town but “don’t let it fool you about what’s inside.” Yes, the generations are turning their tassles but always know our little wine country is just like that dusty bottle of wine and “only gets sweeter with time.”
