Update: El Gran Festival de Musica Cubana cancelled

–Due to scheduling conflicts, the El Gran Festival De Musica Cubana scheduled for May 26 at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre has been canceled. All tickets will be refunded at the point-of-purchase, according to Vina Robles.

–Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Sunday, May 26th with El Gran Festival de Musica Cubana. The one day event will feature Juan De Marcos, Eliades Ochoa y Cuarteto Patria, Barbarito Torres y Su Grupo, Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos y Su Orquesta, Los Van Van, Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., Luis Fank, Pedrito Calvo y Los Soneros.

El Gran Festival de Musica Cubana is a celebration of Cuban Music and its rich history. This gathering of legendary and Grammy-award-winning musicians will bring the classic sounds of Son, Mambo, Guajira and Jazz, while ushering in a new generation of artists through the fusion of Cuban roots, Hip Hop, R&B and Soul.

Artists performing include several original members of the famed Buena Vista Social Club such as Juan De Marcos, known as the architect of the band as well as the Afro Cuban All-Stars. Barbarito Torres, master of the Cuban laud, Jesus Aguaje Ramos, band leader, Eliades Ochoa, the Johnny Cash of Cuban music who will perform with his former bandmates for a special reunion which includes Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., the son of the legendary Cuban crooner and lastly, celebrating their 50th anniversary, the legendary band Los Van Van.
