Entry forms available for Olive Festival Cooking Contest 

Olive Festival, Paso RoblesAnnual Paso Robles Olive Festival set for August 16

The 11th Annual Paso Robles Olive Festival, a Paso Robles Main Street Association event, will be held Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Paso Robles Downtown City Park. A breakfast will be held the morning of the event from 7 to 8 a.m. Presentations will be made to the winners of the Olive Oil Tasting Competition and participants will have an opportunity to met the olive growers.

“Over the last ten years, the popularity of this event has proved that people want to learn more about the health benefits and culinary creativity of olives and olive oil, and that a festival makes it fun for the whole family,” said Norma Moye, Executive Director of the Downtown Paso Robles Main Street Association’s Olive Festival committee.

The Olive Festival will have both local and out-of-county olive oil and olive vendors featuring their products. Free olive oil tasting, tasting seminars, cooking demonstrations, and a head-to-head chef cook-off in the outdoor kitchen stadium.

Enjoy free olive oil ice cream, arts and crafts vendors, music, children’s activities, and much more. Local wineries and breweries will feature tastings; commemorative wine glass available for a fee. Free Admission and fee for wine and beer tasting only.

Olive-inspired food will be sold along Olive Festival Culinary Row. All are welcome to enter the olive-inspired cooking contest and/or submit recipes for a special Olive Festival Cookbook.
