Estimated $300,000 worth of commercial equipment stolen from construction site
–On Thursday at 4 a.m., the Morro Bay Police Department responded to a construction site located in the 500 block of South Bay Blvd. The manager at the scene reported several storage containers at the location had been burglarized. Multiple items were discovered missing from inside the storage containers. The stolen property value is estimated to be approximately $300,000 worth of commercial equipment.
On the same day at 9 a.m., a nearby construction area located near the 1300 block of Quintana Road was also the victim of a similar type of burglary. A storage container at this second location was also broken into and several large, heavy items were taken.
