Estrella Warbirds Museum to host dinner with retired Navy captain

– The Estrella Warbirds Museum will host its monthly dinner on Wednesday, April 2, featuring Captain George Dom, U.S. Navy (Retired), as the guest speaker. Captain Dom will discuss his 26-year career in Naval Aviation and his passion for leadership.
Captain Dom is a graduate of Duke University’s Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps and the National Defense University. He has flown missions in Libya, Iraq, and Serbia, and served as an instructor/pilot at the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). Dom also held leadership roles as the commanding officer/flight leader of the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron and commanded four aircraft carrier fighter squadrons. He later served as the commander of the Air Wing on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS John F. Kennedy. He finished his Navy career at the Pentagon as a staff member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
During his military service, Captain Dom received numerous honors, including multiple Air Medals, two Legion of Merit Awards, and a Distinguished Flying Cross with “Combat Valor” citations.
Since retiring from the Navy, Dom has applied his leadership experience to civilian businesses and life in general. He is a respected business aviation manager, speaker, and leadership consultant, working with Fortune 500 corporations, private companies, and individuals. He is also the author of High-Trust Leadership: Building High-Performance Teams.
The dinner will be catered, with doors to Tompson Hall opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required by 6 p.m. Monday, March 31, and can be made online at www.ewarbirds.org/museum/reservations.shtml or by calling (805) 296-1935.
