Zoppé: Old-world family circus coming to Paso Robles with new act
Troupe showcases contortion, highlighting extraordinary flexibility and precision
– The Zoppé Family Circus has announced a new addition to its lineup: Zom Habesha, a renowned troupe from Ethiopia, will make its debut performance in Paso Robles as part of the circus’s upcoming events.
Zom Habesha is celebrated for its expertise in Risley, a rare acrobatic act where performers juggle and balance each other using only their feet. The act requires exceptional strength, agility, and coordination. The troupe also showcases contortion, highlighting extraordinary flexibility and precision.
The performances will be held alongside a two-week engagement by The Daring Horseman, who will present an antique equestrian act inspired by the trick that brought Alberto Zoppé, a circus legend, to America. The act blends horsemanship and daring stunts, preserving the rich tradition of circus equestrian artistry.
The event will take place Dec. 6-16 at the Paso Robles Event Center. Tickets and showtimes are available at zoppe.net.
