    Excavator strikes gas line, causing leak in Paso Robles

    Gas leak on Linne Rd. contained

    Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported gas leak at 1500 Linne Rd. at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

    Fire crews arrived to find that a 4-inch gas line had been struck by an excavator and was releasing natural gas. Crews established a safe perimeter and evacuated the immediate area. The gas company responded and mitigated the leak by 3:45 p.m.

    No service interruptions were reported, and Linne Rd. reopened by 5 p.m. Two fire engines and one battalion chief from Paso Robles responded to the scene.
