Families invited to patriotic library celebration featuring crafts, treats, petting zoo
– The Paso Robles City Library will host a Farm Petting Zoo/Happy Birthday America event at the Culinary Arts Academy as part of its summer programming series.
The event will take place at the Culinary Arts Academy, 1900 Golden Hill Road.
According to the library, the United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary, and the event will feature activities including decorating treats, creating red, white, and blue crafts, and visiting a miniature farm petting zoo.
Free tickets will be available on-site beginning 30 minutes before the event starts.
Participants at the Culinary Arts Academy location will have an opportunity to receive books to help build their home libraries through Cornelius’s Book Fair. At Oak Park, visitors may check out books from the Bookmobile.
The event is part of the library’s summer programming schedule. Due to construction in the City Hall Council Chambers, the library has moved its summer performances, special events, crafts, and pop-up library programs to its Wednesday lunch sites.
Library officials encourage residents to attend the summer events throughout the season.
