Families needed to host foreign exchange students

–There will be students from Japan coming to Paso Robles July 14-August 10 to participate in a three-and-a-half-week Intensive English Program in preparation for their 10-month homestay somewhere in the United States. They will be attending classes Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. There are still two girls remaining who each need a host family. They will have their own medical insurance and spending money; they simply need a family who will provide them with a bed, meals with the family and transportation for classes (host families help each other with carpooling, if necessary).

One girl is 17 years old and enjoys cooking, dance, music reading, and a variety of sports. She is cheerful and helpful. The other student is 16 years old, plays multiple instruments and sings, also plays a variety of sports including horse riding, and is so looking forward to learning about American holidays.

Is this something you could consider or do you know somebody who might like to host? If you would like more information on this hosting experience, please contact Suzanne Reynolds at (805) 423-3536.

This is a fun and easy way to enjoy hosting an international student while preparing them for the exciting experience of attending an American high school for the year. Host families need not only be parents with children; single people and empty nesters also make excellent host families!
