– Susan B. Thompson, an attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing financial institutions, has joined Carmel & Naccasha LLP as Of Counsel. In her new role, she will offer legal expertise to the firm’s clients, including those in the Paso Robles office.
Thompson’s practice focuses on financial institutions, private debt and equity lenders, investment bankers, and borrowers engaged in real estate and commercial financial transactions. Her work spans loan documentation, acquisitions, dispositions, commercial lending, loan sales, asset-based lending, inter-creditor finance structuring, public finance, loan workouts, settlements, special assets, and other banking matters. Her background in construction and real estate transactions adds depth to the services offered by Carmel & Naccasha.
Before entering private practice, Thompson served as in-house counsel for a California-chartered bank. There, she managed complex financial transactions, special assets, foreclosures, real estate sales, loan workouts, settlements, regulatory matters, and compliance issues.
Thompson earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Montana. She is admitted to practice law in both Montana and California.
