Update: Fire at Camp Roberts grows to 1,500 acres

–The Camp Robert’s fire has grown to approximately 1,500 acres and is 60-percent contained as of late Wednesday night. The fire continues to be well within base boundaries, according to Cal Fire.

–Engines from Cal Fire are responding to assist Camp Roberts Fire with a vegetation fire on Camp Roberts. Fire is approx 25 acres well within the base. The fire broke out around 5:30 p.m. Smoke is filling city streets according to eyewitness reports.
