    barn fire

“My neighbors barn that started the initial blaze,” says neighbor and photographer Brett Howard. “I was first on scene to fight it, but it was too big for regular hoses to put out so I tried to prevent it from spreading until Cal Fire showed up.”

Three acres burned after fire starts in barn

–Crews quickly contained a fire that reportedly started in a barn in Paso Robles Friday afternoon at the end of Oak Lane off of River Road in Paso Robles.

The fire started at approximately 12:40 p.m. Friday, and reportedly broke out in a barn. No word yet as to the cause. Crews responded swiftly, due to the threat of dry brush in the nearby riverbed. Eye-witnesses say that animals in the barn were safely evacuated.

Oak Lane was closed off to traffic. Reports say 3 acres from 3 separate spots burned along with the barn.

Crews had the fire contained by 1:45, reports say.

No further information is available at this time.
