Fire crews battle multiple fires in North County Friday
– Firefighters responded to multiple fires across San Luis Obispo County beginning Friday afternoon, including structure and vegetation fires in Paso Robles, Oak Shores and San Miguel, according to county fire officials.

At approximately 5 p.m. Friday, crews responded to a structure fire near the 3000 block of Lucas Lane in rural Paso Robles. The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department reported that firefighters were actively working to extinguish the fire by 8 p.m. At 11 p.m., officials said firefighters would remain committed for several more hours to salvage belongings and overhaul the structure. The cause is under investigation.
A vegetation fire was reported around 2 p.m. Friday near Interlake Road and Eagle Lane in the Oak Shores area. Officials said the fire had burned approximately 8 acres with one structure threatened. By 3 p.m., the fire had grown to about 38 acres. Later that hour, officials said forward progress had been stopped and containment was at 50 percent. The cause is under investigation.

Another vegetation fire broke out near Lowe’s Canyon Road in San Miguel. Units initially reported 2 to 3 acres burning. At noon Friday, officials updated the estimate to 4.4 acres with 50 percent containment. By 2 p.m., the fire was fully contained. The cause is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
