    –  A GoFundMe has been created to help Wayne, Dy and Garrison Hall after they lost their barn, shop and apartment in a fire over the weekend. The fundraiser aims to raise $14,000 to replace essentials, secure transportation and begin rebuilding.

The fire destroyed the family’s home, all vehicles including a tractor, farm equipment, tools, water tanks and a water pump. They are now living in their motor home on a friend’s property and were told they may not have water for two weeks.

As of Tuesday morning, the fundraiser had collected just over $1,000, according to the campaign page. Click here to donate.

Fire destroys Creston barn, leaves one injured, horses unharmed

    – A fire fully destroyed a barn Saturday evening on the 3000 block of Ryan Road in Creston, according to reports.

The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department was dispatched at 3:16 p.m. to the scene across from Buckwheat Way. Firefighters quickly contained about a quarter-acre of burned vegetation surrounding the structure, but the barn was lost, according to a report by the Tribune.

The fire took about four hours to extinguish. Horses were reportedly able to move away safely, but one unidentified person assisting at the scene sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
