Fire sparks on Highway 46 West

– A fire ignited about 15 miles West of Paso Robles on Highway 46 Sunday at about 1:45 p.m. An eye-witness reported an air-tanker dropping fire retardant on the blaze.

The fire was fully contained by 4:20 p.m., at 25 acres, according to reports. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but was believed to have been nine small, separate fires that joined.
