–A fire that initially threatened two homes was contained at just one acre Friday afternoon in Paso Robles.
Cal Fire says defensible space saved the homes from igniting.
The fire broke out shortly after 3 p.m. near Highway 46 and Jardine Road. Crews remained on scene until around 5 p.m. to mop up.
