Firefighters contain wildland fire in Paso Robles
Fire contained at 2.3 acres
– Firefighters from the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department and Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Unit responded to a wildland fire near the 3000 block of Yosemite Place in rural Paso Robles yesterday. The fire initially covered .5 acres and is currently under investigation.
Cal Fire SLO reported that the fire expanded to 1 acre but exhibited a slow rate of spread. A subsequent update confirmed that the forward progression of the fire has been stopped.
In a final update, Cal Fire SLO stated that the fire is contained at 2.3 acres. Firefighters remained on scene for the next 30 minutes to conduct mop-up operations.
