Firefighters extinguish blaze at multi-family home
On Friday at 10:06 a.m., Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services firefighters responded to a multi-family residential structure fire at 1203 Alamo Creek in Paso Robles.
Firefighters arrived at the scene in six minutes to discover the second floor unit of a two story multi-family residence showing smoke from a well-involved kitchen fire. Aggressive interior fire attack with primary search operations by the firefighters at scene stopped the fire, limiting heat and smoke damage to the kitchen area. The residence was not occupied at the time of the fire. No firefighters or community members were injured.
The fire was contained in thirteen minutes and declared under control in just under sixty minutes. The Paso Robles Firefighters were assisted by Atascadero Fire Department and CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire damage was limited to the kitchen area, smoke and heat damage occurred throughout the structure. No dollar damage estimate is available at this time.
