At approximately 3:44 p.m. yesterday, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to Nighthawk Drive for a reported residential structure fire.

Firefighters arrived at scene to discover a fire burning between two residences and extending into the interior of both a single-story residential home and an adjacent two-story home. Under the SLO County Mutual Aid Plan three additional engines, a division chief, and a breathing support unit responded as part of the second alarm assignment. To assist with the fire investigation the San Luis Obispo Fire Investigation Strike Team was activated. In total, thirty-two firefighters worked to contain the fire and five fire prevention staff assisted with the investigation.
