-Work throughout the night by firefighters has increased containment of the fire burning near Shandon to 75-percent, according to Cal Fire.

–Firefighters have managed to stop forward progress of the so coined GillisIC fire burning in grasslands near Shandon.
Firefighters are expected to remain on scene throughout the night to strengthen containment lines and extinguish hot spots.
The Gillis Fire broke out around 2:45 p.m. on Monday. The cause is under investigation.
