Firestone Walker launches pilsner to aid Los Angeles fire recovery
‘We Love LA’ pilsner now available at Firestone Walker locations
– Firestone Walker Brewing Company has released a new West Coast Pilsner called “We Love LA,” brewed to support wildfire relief efforts. The beer is now available at Firestone Walker’s Venice Propagator and will be released at all company locations, including Buellton and Paso Robles, beginning March 21.
We Love LA is fermented with German lager yeast and dry-hopped with Citra, Strata, and Lorien hops, creating a bright, fruit-forward aroma with a touch of malt sweetness and a crisp finish, embodying the classic characteristics of a California pilsner. It is available in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans, while supplies last.
The initiative for the beer began when wildfires devastated the Palisades and Eaton areas. Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne launched a call to action, and more than 180 breweries nationwide, including Firestone Walker, joined the effort to raise funds for wildfire relief.
More than $275,000 has been raised for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ Wildfire Response Fund through the initiative.
“This is what breweries do—we bring people together,” said Hannah Barnett, Brand Director for Firestone Walker. “Seeing so many breweries unite for a cause bigger than beer reminds us why this industry is so special. We’re honored to stand alongside our peers to support those affected and help rebuild these communities.”
Each can of We Love LA contributes to the ongoing relief efforts.
