    Five arrested after stabbing in South County 

    – Police arrested five Grover Beach residents after responding to an assault report on Saturday, May 31. Officers arrived shortly after 4 p.m. at the area of West Grand Avenue and North 9th Street and found two victims with stab wounds and a third person who was not injured. The victims were transported to Central Coast hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Officers determined that five suspects were involved and had fled the scene. Police located and took all five suspects into custody within a couple of hours. Detectives later executed a search warrant for a house in the 100 block of North 5th Street as part of the case.

    Arturo Alejandro AcostaCardenas, 18, of Grover Beach, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit crime, assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

    Angelo Ali NunezGarcia, 19, of Grover Beach, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit crime, assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

    Angelica Garcia, 56, of Grover Beach, was arrested on charges of attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit crime and assault with a deadly weapon.

    Javier NunezEsparza, 45, of Grover Beach, was arrested on charges of attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit crime and assault with a deadly weapon.

    Javier Anthony NunezGarcia, 21, of Grover Beach, was arrested on charges of attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit crime, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle and possession of an illegal drug while armed.

    All five suspects were transported to the San Luis Obispo County Jail. The case will be referred to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

    Grover Beach Police thanked the Arroyo Grande Police Department, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office and San Luis Obispo Police Department for their assistance with this case.
