– Flag Ranch, a local non-profit, is hosting a Pole Barn Dance benefit on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at its location on 1880 Wellsona Road in Paso Robles.
The event will feature a strolling dinner with wine and olive oil tastings. Guests will enjoy food pairings by local celebrity chef Rachel Ponce and receive music and line dancing instruction from the band Nataly Lola and Ghost Monster.
Collaborators for the event include Bristols Cider, Cellar Fermentation, Cairjn, Crush Vineyard, The Blending Lab, Robert Hall Winery, The Royal Nonesuch Farm, Tribeca Wine Collective, Ulloa Cellars, Royal Oil, Sunshine Olive Oil, Etto for pasta, and Blush & Twine for event design. Photographic portraits of the horses by Guillermo Gusils will be available for sale, and prizes for best boots and hats will be provided by The Blending Lab and Life Elements.
Tickets are priced at $150 per person and can be purchased here.
“We are excited to host our second annual Pole Barn celebration,” said Carlisle, co-founder and executive director of Flag Ranch. “Our human herd has been growing in Paso Robles and beyond, and we look forward to gathering them under one big roof for a very special evening.”
The benefit will take place under the pole barn on Flag Ranch’s 50-acre property, where more than 50 horses roam freely. The space will be reimagined as a gathering place for activities such as small group experiences, culinary medicine classes, film screenings, and more, all among the horses. Proceeds from the event benefit Flag Ranch and are partially tax-deductible.
