Local native Joseph Brown contributed to the Dragon’s success by earning points in all three of his individual events, setting both personal and team records along the way. His lifetime best 500 Freestyle time of 4:31.18 placed 11th and his two signature events, 100 and 200 Breaststroke, produced silver and gold for the Dragons. Brown was just edged out by teammate Ralph Cannarozzi by .03 in the 100 Breast finishing second in a personal best time of 54.89. Brown and Cannarozzi teamed up again to take first and second in the 200 Breast. This time it was Brown taking gold for the second year in a row, finishing ahead of the entire field by nearly two full seconds in a personal best time of 1:58.47, the fastest time in University history.
