Fort Hunter Liggett to host open house marking 85 years 

– Fort Hunter Liggett will host an open house May 2 to mark 85 years of service, according to event organizers.

The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Schoonover Airfield, located at 238 California Ave. Admission is free and open to the public.

Organizers said the family-friendly event will include a live concert by country music duo Two Story Roads, a fireworks show, and activities for attendees of all ages.

Guests will be able to view historical and current military vehicle displays, visit local food vendors, and connect with community partners and organizations during the event.
