Four way stop with flashing beacons at Vineyard drive now operational

–Caltrans has completed the installation of a four-way stop with flashing beacons on Highway 46 West at Vineyard Drive in Templeton. Final striping on this project was completed this morning.

This safety project was implemented to reduce collisions which have occurred at this location. Motorists should be prepared to reduce their speed and come to a complete stop at this new configuration.

The contractor for this $100,000 project was Lee Wilson Electric of Arroyo Grande.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones. For traffic updates on other state highways in San Luis Obispo County, motorists can call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at (805) 549-3318 or can visit the District 5 website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/road_information.htm
