Friends of the Library hosts book sale

Wide selection of books and audio available through Saturday

Library book sale 059The Paso Robles Friends of the Library is hosting its annual Spring Book Sale through Saturday, April 26 in the library conference room, located at 1000 Spring Street.

After Thursday’s special early access for Friends of the Library members, there has been a steady stream of community members and out of town visitors stopping by to stock up on hardcover and paper back books in a variety of genres – romance, suspense, mystery, western, biography, history, other fiction and non-fiction. Also available are children’s books, collector sets, cookbooks, DVDs, books on CD, as well as books on tape and VHS at bargain prices; buyers pay no sales tax.

The book sale will continue on Saturday from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Materials will be available for just $1 per bag during the last hour.

Over the past three years, the Paso Robles Friends of the Library has contributed almost $100,000 to supplement funding for the library. Funds are raised primarily by sales from the Friends Gift Store, fundraisers, used book sales, corporate donations, membership dues, and these book sales.

Commemorative 125th Anniversary prints available

Local artist David Butz has created special limited edition prints of an iconic Paso Robles oak, as well as 12 additional one-of-a-kind, hand-colored prints. They will be on display and available for sale; 30 percent of the purchase price will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
