From the Heart fundraiser returns to Paso Robles Sept. 27
Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates, and provides permanent homes for animals, including Siberian Huskies
– The Fourth Annual Fundraiser benefiting From the Heart Animal Sanctuary will take place Saturday, Sept. 27, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at The Iron Jungle parking lot, located at 580 Linne Road. The event is open to the public with no admission fee, and donations are welcome.
The event supports From the Heart Animal Sanctuary, a local nonprofit founded by Leslie and Joe Thomas. The sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates, and provides permanent homes for animals, including Siberian Huskies and those surrendered due to owner hardship.
The family-friendly event will include interactive crafting activities led by local crafters, a raffle, a silent auction, animal appearances, and live music performed by The Industry. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from the Yabba Dabba Dogs food truck, a bake sale organized by Woods volunteers, and Starbucks.
Due to the nature of the activities, dogs are not allowed at the event.
From the Heart Animal Sanctuary is located at Fat Goat Farm in Paso Robles and is home to unwanted or medically fragile animals. The sanctuary also serves as an educational resource, where Joe Thomas teaches art classes to children aged 5 to 12 using the animals as models. Through these classes, Thomas educates children about the physical and behavioral traits of animals while encouraging compassion.
From the Heart Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that operates through donations from individuals and businesses. For more information, visit fromtheheartanimalsanctuary.org or call (805) 610-2149.
