    — Highlands Church of Paso Robles has announced an upcoming event to help raise money for a local missionary team —led by local high school students, adults, business owners and church members— which will travel to Guatemala City April 8-15, 2017.

The purpose of this mission is to offer health care, special education, social work, veterinary and animal husbandry, agriculture and social work specific to women and children in Guatemala.

“It’s an amazing opportunity,” says Marcy Eberle, who will be attending this missionary trip for the first time.

The team of 24 from Highlands is holding a Guatemalan dinner, silent and live auction at Four Sisters Winery located at 2995 Pleasant Road in San Miguel on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. This “Visionary Dinner” will also include speaker/Pastor James Baird who recently returned to the church and held his first “official” Sunday as Lead Pastor at Highlands last weekend.

The evening will include traditional Guatemalan cuisine, live music by Theater 3 and more than 100 donated items and trips to help fund this important mission. Tickets to the dinner and silent auction/live auction fundraiser are $35 per/person and can be purchased at Highlands Church by calling (805) 226-5800 or visiting www.highlandsadventure.org.
